π± Genetic Background
Wild Cubensis Origin:
The exact lineage of B+ is unknown, though itβs thought to originate from a wild Florida cubensis isolate. It was refined and shared through the underground mycology scene in the 1990s, gaining popularity for its reliability and large yields.
𧬠B+ has remained a staple in both beginner and advanced mycologists circles due to its resilience and robust morphology. It adapts well to a variety of substrates and environmental conditions.
π Physical Traits
Cap:
Broad, golden to cinnamon-brown when young, fading to a lighter caramel or tan as they mature. Caps are typically round or convex early in development, becoming flatter or wavy at full maturity. Occasionally, caps will display darker centers and a slight nipple (umbo). Moderate blue bruising appears along the edges when handled.
Stipe (Stem):
Tall, cylindrical, and semi-dense, often tapering slightly toward the base. Stems are typically off-white to pale tan and hollow in the center. Easy to break open and quick to bruise blue at pressure points. Some fruits develop slight curvatures or waviness in the stem, especially in less-controlled environments.
